Spaghetti Marinara
Spaghetti tossed in slow-simmered tomato sauce with basil and garlic-rubbed crust.

Ingredients
- 1 lb spaghetti
- 2 cans whole peeled tomatoes
- 4 cloves garlic
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1/2 cup fresh basil
- Pinch red pepper flakes
- Salt
- Parmigiano to serve
Method
- 1 Crush the tomatoes by hand and gently warm the olive oil with sliced garlic.
- 2 Add the tomatoes and red pepper flakes and simmer 20 minutes, seasoning with salt.
- 3 Cook the spaghetti to al dente in heavily salted water.
- 4 Toss the pasta in the sauce with torn basil and finish each plate with parmigiano.
