Beef Empanadas
Flaky pastry pockets filled with seasoned ground beef, olives, and raisins.

Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1/3 cup green olives, chopped
- 1/4 cup raisins
- 1 tsp cumin
- Empanada discs
- Egg wash
Method
- 1 Brown the beef with onion and garlic, then add cumin, olives, and raisins.
- 2 Cool the filling completely so it does not melt the dough.
- 3 Fill each disc, fold, and crimp the edges tightly.
- 4 Brush with egg wash and bake at 400F for 22 minutes until deeply golden.
