Beef Empanadas

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1/3 cup green olives, chopped
  • 1/4 cup raisins
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • Empanada discs
  • Egg wash

Method

  1. 1 Brown the beef with onion and garlic, then add cumin, olives, and raisins.
  2. 2 Cool the filling completely so it does not melt the dough.
  3. 3 Fill each disc, fold, and crimp the edges tightly.
  4. 4 Brush with egg wash and bake at 400F for 22 minutes until deeply golden.
