Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs jumbo shrimp
  • 1 cup cornmeal
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • Vegetable oil
  • Remoulade

Method

  1. 1 Whisk eggs and buttermilk together, then dredge the shrimp.
  2. 2 Mix cornmeal, flour, and Cajun seasoning for the coating.
  3. 3 Fry the shrimp at 360F for two minutes until they float and crisp.
  4. 4 Serve hot with remoulade and a wedge of lemon.
