  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup hot coffee
  • Chocolate ganache

Method

  1. 1 Whisk the dry ingredients, then beat in eggs, buttermilk, and oil.
  2. 2 Stream in the hot coffee to make a thin glossy batter.
  3. 3 Bake in two pans at 350F for 30 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
  4. 4 Cool, frost generously with ganache, and chill briefly before slicing.
