Strawberry Shortcake
Buttery biscuits split and layered with macerated strawberries and softly whipped cream.

Ingredients
- 2 cups flour
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- 1/2 cup cold butter
- 3/4 cup heavy cream
- 2 lbs strawberries
- 3 tbsp sugar
- 1 cup whipped cream
Method
- 1 Cut the cold butter into the dry ingredients and stir in cream to form a soft dough.
- 2 Pat out and cut into rounds, then bake at 425F for 14 minutes.
- 3 Toss strawberries with sugar and let macerate for 20 minutes.
- 4 Split each biscuit, fill with strawberries and cream, and top with the lid.
